  Jerad Glore, Vantage Point Solutions

 

Jim Hoflen, US Department of Homeland Security/Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency
Mr. Hoflen serves as a Cybersecurity Advisor and Cybersecurity Coordinator for Iowa. Based in Des Moines, IA, he supports the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) mission of strengthening the security and resilience of the nation’s critical infrastructure. Mr. Hoflen is retired US Air Force, enlisted, with 23 years of service. He supported Specialized Management programs, INTEL units, and performed defensive cyber operations in the US and Europe. Since leaving the Air Force, he has worked for various defense contractors, private companies, and Federal agencies, including DHS/ICE and the US Army.

  Marc Vasquez, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)

Cyber Regional Training and Exercise Specialist, Region 7
Marc Vasquez, APR, SACP, is a cyber regional training and exercise specialist with the Cybersecurity Infrastructure & Security Agency in Region 7 which covers Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. He holds more than 25 years of combined security awareness and internal/external communications experience. Marc has been part of communications and security awareness teams in public relations firms, the financial sector, international hospitality chains and the federal government. He holds both an Accreditation in Public Relations and the Security Awareness and Culture Professional certification, the second he helped create for security practitioners around the world. Marc is also a past president and board member with the International Association of Security Awareness Professionals.

  Scott WattsNRTC (National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative)
Scott Watts is a broadband industry professional with over 28 years of experience. He is responsible for the overall product roadmap, business planning, and execution of strategy for NRTC Managed Services. Prior to joining NRTC, Scott served as Executive Vice President and CMO for NorthState, a publicly traded broadband and IT company. Scott also held various management roles at CT Communications, now Windstream. He earned his B.A. degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from UNC-Charlotte and his M.B.A. from North Carolina State University.


  Scott Crosby, EnCompass
Scott graduated from Coe College with majors in both Business and Computers, and a minor in Math.  He is currently the General Manager, Owner, Virtual CIO, & Virtual CSO at EnCompass. Scott lives on & works from a boat in Florida for 6 months of the year.
  James Taylor, Vantage Point Solutions
James Taylor’s background lies in Cyber Operations, analyzing applications, websites, and networks for vulnerabilities and security issues. At Vantage Point Solutions, James specializes in cybersecurity leadership, data security, social engineering, network penetration, and vulnerability assessments for the telecommunications industry and financial institutions.
  Frank Bulk, Premier Communications
Frank Bulk holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics and attended Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies Master’s program in Telecommunications and Network Management.
  Joshua Seidemann, NTCA

Josh focuses on federal regulatory issues as well as technology and market trends affecting the rural telecom industry. He leads research initiatives for Smart Rural CommunitySM, an initiative that promotes inter-industry collaboration to deploy broadband-enabled applications to improve agriculture, education, health care and other sectors. Josh is the staff liaison for the NTCA Innovation and Business Opportunity Committee and serves on industry bodies administered variously by the Federal Communications Commission and National Institute of Standards and Technology. He is currently chair of the Adoption and Jobs Working Group of the FCC Precision Ag Task Force.

  Ryan Pieken, Oxen Technology
Ryan joined OXEN Technology in 2001 as a service technician focusing on computer builds, repairs, and ISP support for dial-up internet customers. Pieken's technology experience rapidly grew into more in-depth skills such as server administration, wireless, switching/routing, firewalls, and VoIP technologies.
