South Slope Cooperative Communications, a progressive, leading provider of communication services in east-central Iowa, based in North Liberty, has an opportunity for an HR leader to manage the HR function of this growing 85 employee, unionized company.

As a member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to identify, develop and deploy business-driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain talent while creating a high-performance, sustainable company capable of achieving business objectives.  Specifically:

  • Foster and support a positive, customer-centric company culture that recognizes progress and achievements, emphasizes integrity, quality, continuous improvement, high performance, employee engagement and optimizing business value;

  • Create simple, effective, and legally compliant policies and procedures and ensure the company is compliant with all applicable employment laws;

  • Provide full-cycle recruiting including; sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer extension;

  • Generate, analyze and provide insightful data to guide decision making and develop proactive solutions to managing and developing a superior workforce;  

  • Develop strategies for maintaining positive employee/union relations;

  • Conduct yearly compensation analysis and manage benefits administration.
