We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Combination Technician to join our team and help us maintain and expand our network.

Job Summary: The Combination Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, locating, and repair of fiber optic telecommunications systems. This role requires a versatile individual who can handle both fieldwork and customer service, ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, locate, and repair fiber optic telecommunications systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on network equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
  • Installation of company provided equipment.  Lend expertise to configure customer premises equipment (CPE).
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Inclusion in a standard “on call” rotation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in telecommunications or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in telecommunications, particularly with fiber optic systems.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and rural environments.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and working on poles.
