Join Iowa Communications Alliance

Iowa Communications Alliance members include:

Community-based Telecommunications Providers

This membership category includes all the companies that are providing telecommunication services directly to end-user customers.  Membership dues are based on subscriber counts.

Membership with the Iowa Communications Alliance provides you with numerous opportunities for involvement, education, and training as well as access to information and resources.

Advocacy – In partnership with and on behalf of our members, the Alliance makes advocacy a top priority.  We work to stay ahead of any threats to our industry, help our members take full advantage of available opportunities, and work for state and national policies and programs that continue to advance our mission to connect every Iowan with affordable and robust broadband service. Building positive relationships with legislators and regulators is our top priority and we help members get involved and make a positive impact for our industry.

Education and Training - The Alliance offers a number of in-person trainings and conferences along with remote webcasts and meetings throughout the year.  For details on upcoming educational opportunities, see the "Programs & Events" menu options found in the menu bar at the top of our webpages.

The Iowa Communicator - Our weekly electronic newsletter that includes industry hot topics, Alliance news, information on our full calendar of education, training, and events, and more.

Members Alerts and Special Reports - In addition to the newsletter, from time to time the Alliance will send special alerts and reports.  These alerts share timely and detailed information on items that may affect you and your business.

Leadership Opportunities - Our committee volunteers make the Alliance programs and events possible.  Serving on a committee is a great way to serve the association while developing your personal leadership skills and make connections with other members.  Our members are also given the opportunity to provide expert content at Alliance conferences and programs.

Scholarship Programs - Annually, the Alliance awards a scholarship to one high school senior living in a member service territory and one scholarship to a high school senior whose parent or guardian is currently employed by an Alliance Member Company.

The Next Gen Scholars program was established in response to our member companies need for skilled technicians.  After the candidates are selected for this program, the Iowa Communications Alliance, the sponsoring company, DMACC, and student split the tuition of the DMACC Network Technology/Telecom Data Communications Associates Program or the DMACC Network Technology/Telecommunications Certificate Program.

For more information on how to join, please contact Melissa Primus, Director of Membership and Operations.
