Community-based Telecommunications ProvidersThis membership category includes all the companies that are providing telecommunication services directly to end-user customers. Membership dues are based on subscriber counts. Membership with the Iowa Communications Alliance provides you with numerous opportunities for involvement, education, and training as well as access to information and resources. Advocacy – In partnership with and on behalf of our members, ICA makes advocacy a top priority. We work to stay ahead of any Education and Training - Iowa Communications Alliance offers a number of in-person trainings and conferences along with remote webcasts and meetings throughout the year. The Iowa Communicator - Our weekly electronic newsletter that includes industry hot topics, ICA news, information on our full calendar of education, training, and events, and more. Members Alerts and Special Reports - In addition to the newsletter, from time-to-time ICA will send special alerts and reports. These alerts share timely and detailed information on items that may affect you and your business. Leadership Opportunities - Our committee volunteers make our programs and events possible. Serving on a committee is a great way to serve the association while developing your personal leadership skills and make connections with other members. Our members are also given the opportunity to provide expert content at ICA conferences and programs. Scholarship Programs - Annually, Iowa Communications Alliance awards two scholarships to high school seniors or current college students whose parent, grandparent, or guardian is currently employed by an ICA voting member company. The Next Gen Scholars program was established in response to our member companies need for skilled technicians. After the candidates are selected for this program, the Iowa Communications Alliance, the sponsoring company, DMACC, and student split the tuition of the DMACC Network Technology/Telecom Data Communications Associates Program or the DMACC Network Technology/Telecommunications Certificate Program. Carrier members are companies providing interexchange service, middle mile transport, wholesale service, and other network assets used by local exchange carriers and broadband providers who serve end users. Carrier members enjoy all the member benefits of ICA Associate Members.
